Blessingway Ceremony

Just like baby showers focus on babies, Blessingway Ceremonies are a beautiful way of honouring the mother-to-be. Traditionally, women will gather around her to celebrate her transition into motherhood, give her gifts, speak words of encouragement, create affirmations, share birth stories, braid her hair, paint her belly, give her a massage or a foot soak, create amulets, sing songs, share a meal, and more… Blessingway is about acknowledging birth as a rite of passage and creating a circle of support for the mother. In the ceremony, she is held, pampered and taken care of - body, mind and spirit. Blessingway is a show of love, ritual and community.

I hold Blessingway Ceremonies in Derbyshire, indoors or outdoors, in hired spaces, your home or my bell tent (per request). The ceremony lasts 2-3h, includes a variety of activities (that are discussed and chosen beforehand), all materials, nourishing snacks, lovingly crafted altar and a personalised gift for a mama to be.

The prices start from £200 (this does not include a venue).
