I like to think of a doula’s job as a never-ending discovery. There is always more to learn, there is always another skill, another ritual, another wisdom worth exploring and bringing into one’s practice.

My work started from birth and has since developed to offer prenatal and postnatal support. What started as a feministic urge to recognise women’s birth rights, has transformed into a deep journey into ancestral ways and recognising childbirth as a rite of passage & motherhood as a ceremony. Growing as a birthkeeper has been the most profound lesson in mindfulness, slowing down and becoming intentional. All of these qualities are reflected in my work and the modalities I use.

As a birth worker and a postnatal doula, I offer non-medical, holistic support rooted in evidence based information, wellbeing practices & ancestral knowledge. My clients can expect a thorough birth & postnatal preparation, fierce advocacy & help in navigating the maternity system, and gentle care that includes bodywork, nourishing meals and herbal support. As your doula, I am your confidant, your helpline, your resource - the bridge between you and your provider, your listening ear and your reassurance. But most importantly, I am here to witness you in your power and your vulnerability. I am here to mother you whilst you mother your baby. To hold you whilst you hold them (or are preparing to do so). To gently guide you as you approach the threshold. To support you in this greatest transition and help you integrate it.

In practice, I draw inspiration and knowledge from the ancient systems of Ayurveda and TCM, as well as mindfulness, indigenous practices like rebozo, aromatherapy and herbalism. I am also a certified hypnobirthing practitioner.
